I have recently purchased a 59 plate CC GT and the front fog lights are not working. I have tried another switch and new bulbs but neither have worked! No faults come up on the dash and there is no front fog light on the dash display only the rear, is this normal? I have looked at a few fuses but I don't know which one I should be looking at and I'm a newbie to VW's.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

I don’t know what you did with your text there but all I could see was an eBay link to fog lights and I very nearly banned you, it was only because in the banning window I could make out more text as the background was different. If you private message me the cars REG I will check it’s build spec.

It was built with Pr-8WD front fog lights so now you need a body control module fault code read to see if there are any clues. The switch you should use is 3C8941431A XSH

Thanks, i have a Carista OBD2 so i will scan the car for faults. Should there be a front fog light illumination on the dash?

From memory, on the switch panel. Carista may be able to do output test operation of the front fogs.

Can’t see how to do an output test on Carista.
What fuse is for the front fogs and what relay? Should there be a light on the dash when the front fogs are on?

The relay is on the central electrics board under the dash, there is no fuse and from what I can tell from ETKA and ELSA the J5 fog light relay is integral with the central electrics unit.

the is a 14 point multiplug behind the gril to the cars left under the headlight with two thick white/yellow wires, these are the fog light power and this plug gets corroded.

Which on my car is about the most awkward PITA connector to separate everytime the front has to come off! Luckily mine has been on and off a few times thus clearing some of the pre corrosive deposits.

That certainly looks like the bar steward!

So if i want to check there is a live feed going to the fogs from this plug, which wire is it?

Looks like T14 to me.
