Hi, just a quick hello from me, browsing through the forum as looking for guidance before buying my first VAG.
Looking for 2006 to 2008 A6 3.0tdi maybe a 2.7 Manual,
Been to view one today and got cold feet, heard what sounded like a chain rattle on startup for the first second and then various little niggles got me all bothered like heater blowing flat cold, wing mirrors not moving, rear offside door not locking/unlocking, possible bulb warning on the dash (still to find out what it was exactly) and a deep knock from the front suspension over the bumps.
Now, I’m ok for tackling the most of general repairs having swapped over a few engines in my time, rebuilt a number of older engines like cavalier redtop, rover K series, sierra pinto and twin cams and a few Renaults etc but can only do so much at the side of the road.
Right, going to search out some buying advice.
