Extended Warranty

Car becomes 3 years old this month and Audi have sent me a quote for extended warranty.

is it work getting from Audi or should I go elsewhere or is just an insurance premium that will never be used ?

Extended warranties are just another insurance that you hope you never use, like any insurance it is for piece of mind...

I have a Skoda Superb DSG which will be 6 years old in a few days, I have had it from new and paid for the 5 year warranty when purchased, since them I have just renewed my extended warranty for just over £200 but with all component cover and a £250 excess.. the main reason is the DSG gearbox, if they go wrong it is £1000's to repair or replace.. small price to pay for a nice, very low mileage car..
