Evening,

Approx. a week ago I started finding an issue happening with my bluetooth telephone audio;

When I turn on the car and it connects to bluetooth the first call I make or receive, the person on the other end cannot hear me and I hear them super crackled / buzzing sound in their voice however can make out what they're saying.

If I disconnect my phones bluetooth and reconnect to the vehicle it is fixed however, if I end that call I have to disconnect and reconnect to make/receive another call otherwise the problem continues.

I have tried iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro and Samsung and it all had the same issue.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Thanks

I've got something similar - iPhone 11 - latest software. About 4 months ago at the last software update, when on Bluetooth, I started noticing that when a call came in the left wheel on the steering wheel would move the up/down but clicking it didn't always answer it....nor did answering it from the buttons on the console......if you did answer it, calls would randomly terminate but stay "in progress" but showing "Connecting..." in the DIS with no way to terminate them. They'd even stay there after stopping the car, the DIS display would go off, but the centre console display stayed "stuck" there - eventually going black like it's realised something has died and shutting down. When it gets into the state of a call getting stuck, the Radio is disabled - though Nav and all other functions work OK.

Thinking about raising it with Audi - as this is their problem, given they say the system supports Bluetooth.....which it now clearly doesn't.....

FWIW, don't have the same problem in the wife's Toyota, that still works perfectly....

Hi,

Have you tried rebooting the MMI? I've been playing around with it the last couple of days and I done a reboot on it today. System/menus load way faster and Bluetooth connection is active straight away. There were days it would take ages to connect and be intermittent.

Might be worth a try.

I tried rebooting the MMI but it didn't work. Is there a way to reset it to factory settings? I couldnt find it within the menu.

I called Audi but they're looking £60 a hour to try and resolve the issue, which I don't fancy paying...didn't give me any options over the phone.

I have a 2016 Allroad with similar problems, main one being if I receive a call but don’t answer it, it stays connected and I can’t hang up, unless I toggle Bluetooth on phone (2020 iPhone SE).

How do you reboot the MMI?

How do you reboot the MMI?

Press MENU, central MMI knob and top right softkey all together.

Cheers!
