Hi,

I was driving the other day when my steering wheel made a strange noise and I then lost the use of certain function buttons on the steering wheel. The airbag light on the dashboard also came on. Now, when turning the steering wheel, it makes a sort of clicking sound. After a bit of Googling, i'm lead to believe that the clock spring has gone and needs replacing. I was considering attempting replacing this myself but just wanted to make sure i've got everything down correctly.

I understand that i will need to replace this part number 4G0953568A Link 1 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A7-A6-4G-2011-2014-Indicator-Wiper-Stalks-with-Slip-Ring-Squib-4G0953568A/402031361662?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item5d9aefbe7e:g:gdgAAOSwFjleF0uP&enc=AQAEAAACQBPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qXCDgJ5aKwi86bQ 8gUmCEoyXgioY1YE5xrG5DcThbjfXNabtscOlv%2BjKz9R4pZp diwTzVaCSNCv9TditJjTxN7ESRSaFU%2Fd5PdWLeH%2B%2FwTf MIbn%2FgxgvmkpIqTBXzd3APsP%2BgkQfAqxUYY5LFdVcGCKfB 5mxqbW5qF70RZSTLVN05MEoHYhMQZ3RIXC4%2FPSNz2lJHcfcv 8fcbb13qIcMkG9WQvvZqRFx0WKJTG9esA5HWMx%2BOUI94WkZn LvZB0WDBccu6xz8cjjp%2FAPdv%2BUJunmsoccfdVSNkvUet2D Ri83554%2BNHDZban8grgj3h5vCSf7kVar5iHQ9BC620VL1mw% 2B15uZYuCx3fsMtiT4Vj0IUa3xHakiMUGjmr%2FHnJg9g75%2F 7q57yP1Lzi2tQLWTJhW5DqlrBd0M25ogX58SCwozFKYw444eM3 MHwAya45IhEwDLZ%2BHBP0avEHDRqSti8FgaRwSIug%2Fc4hNR 5H1MouY0H%2Fug8NMkD9w0p1bix7%2FUWe%2FEfqb3aSGMj81% 2FozWAYowBbOyvlli%2F08dptikJj3tzfZ4iMRVBhNnt4kuYRg bL%2FNVfseiFMiqu9XNymp4n5fZNZke0XSOezsgLNUsDR9a0xD KWaL2DjekgMfRA111dbXUvhXERE%2BISVl8qflOX%2BBZra909 6M1lEnN6nQUikDdXJ3dQhLkmzdGZOdMCAVbU8j7mSKfS2dsdk3 6CgBHaX4awJl%2FY6u4PHnadekn229fC2g%3D%3D&checksum=402031361662e4bb604c52564c5e8072537afb4b9 3f8)

I read that i would need to remove the battery before removing the airbag/steering wheel, is this needed?

I would then follow this video Link 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BazD2SnXmZg)

I was also considering purchasing this to reset any airbag warning lights Link 3 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07PPVSZHV/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza)

Is there a step to configuring the clock spring? If so, i'm not sure how to do this - could somebody please advise?

If all the above is correct, is there anything else i'm missing?

Thanks in advance.
