Hi All,
I've been given a BXE 1.9TDi (yes, given) by a friend as her mechanic told her it was dead when she got the low oil pressure - STOP warning on the car. She's now replaced it, and said I can have it if I want to sort it.
It's a bit battered, but all there and works.
Anyway, I can find lots of info for this issue with the 2.0TD, but not for the 1.9 BXE. Runs fine, no odd noises, no temperature rises. Oil level is good, no smoke out the back, boosting ok.
I'll start with a quick flush and removing and cleaning the sump and strainer I guess. What else should I be looking for - I see plenty of info about oil pumps/chain drive/shafts for the 2.0 but again, not much for the 1.9.
Could it be simply the sensor itself?
cheers
Mike
