Hi Everyone:confused:
New member to the forum needing some advice.
I replaced the oil cooler last week, needless to say even after a good water flush I still have a lot of oily gunge in the system, particularly in the header tank. (At least the heater matrix is easy to get at)!
I have read that the best thing to use is caustic soda. However the article also states that this will rot any aluminum present in the system!
Another article also states that a none biological detergent IE: persil Will do the same job.
Any advice or guidance regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance :1zhelp:
