rear washer

I have noticed that the rear washer on my recently purchased 1998 a4 avant doesnt work and I see a pool of water under the rear nearside wheel arch, is this where the pipe runs please? I hope thats the case and that I can re-attach the line?

The likely cause is the washer jet being blocked which will force the washer pipe to work loose (located in the right hand side compartment in the boot).


You'll need to remove the circular black bit that covers the jet.
Remove the jet itself with a pair of pliers.
Using a needle clear the blockage (and blow through it to make sure it's clear).
Then you can put it all back together and reattach the pipe in the RHS compartment.It's an easy job and should take about 10-15 minutes.
