Hi all
I have a "common" issue with my Q7 4M navigation. It works first 25 minutes and then looses connection to satellites as it shows me miles away. Contacted livechat Audi and told me that this has been raised as a concern and there should be no cost, however Audi booked me for Monday the 6th January and off course its a 60£/half hour charge, or maybe more of needed to investigate.

Is there any solution to fix this as I've tried rebooting mmi also updating maps as well and didn't help at all.

Are you out of warranty? Shouldn’t have a diagnostic charge I wouldn’t have thought if under warranty? I’ve never had a charge when under warranty personally?

I don't have Audi warranty. I have 6 months warranty with another dealer, called them, expalined them but warranty offices opens on the 2nd of Januray. I am thinking that there is a solution as the gps antenna works for 25-30 min and then shows me miles away or 100 yards but not where I supposed to be.

What software version is your mmi on? First check your on the latest I'd say...

I will check now. Would I be able to update my MMI myself or it has to be updated by Audi? Audi have told me that there is a software update but it will be done only if MMI needs it...weird.

What software version is your mmi on? First check your on the latest I'd say...

I had to have the GPS antenna changed on the A6 a while back but that got stuck somewhere around 69 miles away from where I live

Hi all
Quick reply, I initially contacted Audi and explained, they booked me in for investigations. I also contacted the dealer where the car has been purchased as I have RAC warranty. They booked me in today to change the Aerial GPS antenna. All went good, painted the antenna in car colour and ordered an SD card to my adress as Navigation and Phone needs to be activated and some coding to be performed only by Audi. They will pay for everything that Audi needs to do, 60£ Audi quoted for activation and other updates. Looking forward on Monday to finish this stressful issue..Thank you all for replying!!
