Has anyone had luck fixing a brake pad warning light?
Warning on dash comes on and stays on every time the car is started.
Pads are almost new, 12mm on front, 6mm on back. Pad sensors intact and connected.

Currently testing by running a ground wire from a chassis point ground to front and rear sensor connectors to jump them.
Verified ground for continuity on the jump wire to make sure the length of wire was ok. All good there. Connected jump wires to both terminals of the connector mounted on the steering / brake assembly, going in towards the car (ruling out the short cable that goes from pad sensor to connector). Ground is there on both terminals (verified through multimeter) , so seems there is no signal making it past the wheel well?
Not sure which the issue is - front or back.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Scan log? The light can mean many things...

Will pop out shortly to do a scan. It comes up on the dash as well with the text "brake pads worn". Wouldn't other things like ABS have their own circuitry / warning system?

You will have water or a broken wire within the loom to the front wheels, its common. Audi tried to charge me £100+ per side for a repair loom on my last C7. I told them to leave it. The pad sensor wire is a continuous loop of wire that is worn through when pads wear, its not like the old style that grounds at a certain wear level.

Thanks - How did you end up fixing? Is there a "sub" loom that goes beween a control unit and the front wheels?
I tried tracing back the wires but it's a bit tough to see and as the wires go into a larger look, not sure if they run parralel or become part of the larger loom. If it is part of the larger loom, almost don't want to disrupt the 90% of everything else that's functioning, with worst case causing a new (maybe worse) issue in exchange for fixing this one.

They said I had water ingress but I had no warnings of any, replaced rear pads and front pads with wear sensors and my warning went off. But the workshop did leave a front sensor unplugged when they replaced the rear pads, was the last time my car went to that workshop.
Just looking on EKTA at my Allroad wiring, the front loom is on a plug meaning that part of the loom is easily replaced, it does ABS sensors and brake pad wear indicator.
