Add Speed Cameras to C8 2019 Please Help!!!!!!

Hoping you can help?

Seen a gret video about purchasing pocketgpsworld speed cameras.

Should have said.....Downloaded POI Base & copied all to USB. Plugged into car but it wont find the USB.

I have tried a 32g usb & 2g usb

Any help would be appreciated.

Rappy if it’s same on the A6 as was Q5 and other latest Audi’s you’ll need to pop the PGPS database in to something like POIBASE first to covert it....this will create the file which can be uploaded in to the car.

There’ll be a thread on this forum - defo one in the Q7 section and it the Q5 one we use [emoji1360]

However I may have misunderstood your post as you may have already done that and your issue is just that the Usb isn’t being recognised?

Thanks for the speedy reply. That is the exact Youtube video I have followed. Very straight forward.

Issue is that the car wont read both of my USB's

May try a SD card instead on Sunday.

Just tried SD card, again fail!

For some reason car will not recognise sd card or usb when trying to update SW

Yes, same for all that are running new MMI inc A1 Q3, A8 etc... attached info from POI Base. Will try & get a refund from Pocket gps world.

That’s such a shame - assuming MyAudi portal hasn’t reinstated the POI uploader?

After a bit of looking into this, Audi have removed POI from my Audi app. The only option is via the method I used above as detailed in the You Tube video. If you have the older MMI it will work. As shown in the video Audi A4 B9.

If you have the later MMI, it will not work. Or should I say not yet!

Guessing Audi have decided to remove this for all/block due to it being illegal in some countries.

Have just found this thread having started a new post !
just to be clear, I have a 2020 model C8 with tech pack........my interpretation from above is that I can’t install camera info as covered in numerous posts online which works fine on older models.
is this correct ?

Yes, correct. Same car as mine. 20MY purchased just under 3 mths ago with Tech Pack.

I have been in contact with MYAUDI support line regarding a log on issue...……..in my conversation I mentioned the POI download issue and not accepting speed cameras as the older systems did. They confirmed that this was the case however an update for the UK was on the cards and that this update had already been rolled out in Germany. they could not give me a date when it would be available but said that it was definitely coming...….
I asked how I would know about this update when "live" and they said that it would "probably" be downloaded automatically and would simply appear as an option in similar format to previous versions...….I have my doubts ! Nonetheless it does appear that it is on he agenda so hopefully we can keep updated from this site...…..fingers crossed !

hope it’s not long off. Audi removed the ability on MyAudi to add your own POIs a fair while ago and said it would come back soon, but hadn’t. However encouraging that they’ve rolled something out in Germany!
