Tuning box - seen or not seen

Looking at a tuning box.

I've understood that tuning boxes plug into the OBD2 port and could be removed whenever in for servicing etc not causing any issues with the dealer if within any warranty.

But reading about a DTUK tuning box, this having a wiring loom fitted into your cars existing loom.

So again if the box is removed for servicing etc. Surely the dealer will see the loom has been modified for this loom and box.

Is this correct ??

Also has anyone fitted one of these DTUK tuning boxes and any comments of its performance etc and any issues with any dealer for servicing.
