I need a new NOx sensor for my 2.0ltr FSI 4motion which carries the part No 06F907807B. The VW specialist I used told me the part was over £400 + vat but that they’d be happy to fit a nox sensor I’d supplied if I could find it cheaper (and wished me luck)
A search online shows this as being used on the Skoda Octavia with 2.0 FSI Golfs using 06F907807D or 807F.
Part 807B seems to be impossible to track down except from VW or Skoda main dealers at an eye watering price whereas there are several 807D or 807F parts from broken cars online and it even appears 807F can be used to upgrade 807D.
Does anybody know if these parts are interchangeable (or even better has anyone used 807D/F on an FSI 4motion) or am I stuck looking for 807B. Lambda power and the VW parts department weren’t sure.

As an aside does anybody know of a 2.0ltr FSI Octavia being broken for parts?

Looking at the EKTA online resources they do seem to be quite model specific. [Embarassing content deleted :o :(]

How about the GSF part LAMBDA SENSOR 930VG1350 (https://www.gsfcarparts.com/930vg1350?)

Mr VAG, don’t you know the difference between an NOX (various oxides of Nitrogen) for a petrol engine and a Lambda sensor, AKA an O2 (Oxygen) sensor for a Diesel engine?

The NOX sensor 06F 907 807 B is specific to a Golf 5 4M with a BLX engine, a car probably rarer in the UK than a Veyron, seriously! It is only available to non trade from VAG dealers at £558.47 inc VAT.

All I can say is it was late, and I was dancing around the interweb trying to be helpful. Somehow or other I'd mentally switched to petrol and lambda when choosing a model on GSF :o...

Thanks for the replies, looks like I’ll be keeping an eye out for Skoda Octavias in breakers yards for a while longer.
Incidentally a quick DuckDuckGo suggests 48 Gt FSI 4 motions (+7 sorn) vs 27 Veyrons with an MOTs in the UK; not that “but it’s rarer than a Veyron” would appease the wife.

Anybody tried a nox sensor repair kit? Looks as though the you cut off the old sensor but keep the control box and just wire in. As much as its significantly cheaper than a new sensor I don’t want to waste even more money if it ends up not working.

Could be worth it BUT from a professional point of view I would have to factor in perhaps two hours labour on top and the risk that the fault is in the box not the sensor itself.
