As above, our 2003 3.0 v6 petrol is now at 120k miles, and recently had cambelt/waterpump done and new clutch and DMF about 7k ago as well.

Was wondering if there's anything worth running through the car to clean the cat out? I did read that one cat cleaner was renowned for killing them early

Anything i can run through it, or anything preventative worth doing?

Are you having problems with it? If not leave it alone. Over fuelling will kill the cat as will over filling the oil other than that they are mostly trouble free.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. Cataclean has gained an undeserved bad reputation as using it when the problem is with the fueling of the engine can generate extremely high exhaust gas temperatures but it is the diagnosis at fault, not the product.

Cheers Calum, no known issues with the cat. Just its recently hit 120k miles and had a few bits need replacing recently, waterpump and alternator and wasnt sure if anything preventative could be done. I'll just keep an eye on it and hope :)

Cheers Crasher, I think i ran a can of cataclean through it last year just before a 200 mile round trip, and half way there had a problem with the crank position sensor, and kinda thought it was due to the cataclean I'd run in the full tank that morning. 1 scan later, and a failed crank position sensor was diagnosed
