What’s the difference between soot measured and calculated
I have been having my car doing regen it went away and stopped reving a little while ago then come back I drove at 40/50mph air con on 2500 rpm for 15/20 mins a couple of trips before when I scanned it was at 18.00g now it’s down to 8.01g on the calculated and -2.26 on the measured
What is the good soot levels is it as low as possible
Cheers Matt

18 is about normal for coming upto regen, 8 is fine. Doing a forced regen I like to see it go down to zero but when you come back to it later it has usually gone back upto around 4%.

Ok cheers I done a forced and it didn’t drop at all as it was doing it for 40 mins Seems I have managed to get it lower with the driving regen 3/4 gear In manual 2500 rpm around 40/50mph for 15 mins etc
Haven’t yet tried a vcds driving regen though
I have noticed these multitronic gearboxes it’s never going to regen itself as the revs are always so so low

Fit a new GENUINE DPF pressure sensor, calibrate it, clear the learnt adaptations (NOT THE ASH MASS!) and do a forced regen, sometimes there is a good on screen function (sometimes the glory of a standing regen where you can go have a coffee) but quite often in VCDS it is a bit of a hit and miss guessing game such as changing the stored value to 00 01 and seeing if the DPF light comes on.

I will contact Audi get a price on the pressure sensor it looks pretty easy to change . Think it’s the calibrating it will be difficult ?
Yesterday I plugged the laptop in went to regen while driving change 0 to 1 and it come up with yes no cancel
I clicked yes and said about changing numbers to 1234 etc
Dpf warning light come on I then drove temp got up soot was coming down but traffic slowed to much need to do it On a quiet time .
I tuned car off back on Dpf was back off again

Tonight I was having a drive and was in sport mode and giving it some beans and when I got to a slow area went back to drive and the car was doing the reving at 1400rpm when coming to a stop . This is what I think is the regen process
Would this be the sensor causing it as it’s on soot measured is -2.26 g

Mine is calculated 8.10g
And measured is -2.26

From what I have been told on vcds it’s measured that’s the differential pressure sensor messurement and calculated what the ecu thinks is in the Dpf
I’m thinking bring -2.26 the sensor isn’t working

Sorry, calculated, too hot....

I’m phoning Audi for new sensor this week then calibrate it then see where I’m at was very strange when driving home last night bit harder than normal then slowed down into drive it then started reving high again . I’m not sure I’m getting good readings and something isn’t right for it to keep trying to do a regen
Cheers Matt

I have now replaced the sensor and doing a forced regen let’s see if this helps
