I am sure this has been asked but my search skills are carp:Blush:
I am after a service (or one off another model that fits) dipstick for the engine, 3.0tdi 245bhp 2013.

Lots on google but all seem to relate to the 2.0tdi motors.

thank you

i think he’s on about retro fitting one as there is no dipstick on the 3.0.....its a digital one via the MMI

i think you could retro fit it to the older C6 engines but I’m not sure there’s a solution for the C7??

There is. And you just need the dipstick. The opening is there (the same one I use to suck the oil out when changing it.
To my knowledge, they just tried saving a few quid by not providing the dipstick itself...

It's the orange cap with the ring on the front of the engine - will send you the pic after work...

John, thank you, I have ordered one.
Its my wifes car and to get her to check the oil is a royal pita, plus the MMI wont let you check the oil on a cold engine, hence the want for a dipstick!

Her two previous A6 C6 3.0tdi models had a dipstick.

New stick arrived, car on the flat engine hot, mmi shows oil 4mm ish below max, dipstick shows overfilled but its at the letter M on the word max so is showing 6 ish mm overfilled, so I can live with that and its so quick and easy, whilst checking other levels.
So yes it works but not perfectly, you need to check what the mmi is showing to what is physically showing on the dipsick, just remember M is correct level.

Hi, there is a fair bit of confusion out there with regards what goes in which engine; but my 2012 facelift Q5 with the 3.0 TDi motor has the AUDI PART 079 115 611 AB fitted and is a perfect match to the level shown by the MMI system.Yours should be the same even though a lot of the web based suppliers tell you it won't fit.

Cheers and all the best from NZ
