Whilst driving in today’s rain my intermittent wipers were on the blink. I had the stork switch to the most sensitive position but even when windscreen was completely covered in water, the wipers wouldn’t sweep. Then all of a sudden they would spring into life for 10 mins and work fine, then go back to long pauses before sweeping again. I’m guessing it’s an issue with the rain sensor or relay, but which is the most common at failing? Thanks guys for any help.

My car does the same and my partner got a brand new seat ibiza with the auto wipers and that's the same too, I don't think any auto wipers are 100% perfect and they all seem to either not wipe often enough or have a field day on a nearly dry windscreen [emoji23]

Mine has the odd spasm and goes hell for leather at a few drops then seems to realise there's not a lot of water so calms down. Overall though they're pretty much on point most of the time. I did have a spindle seize though which made them behave erratically before it snapped the linkage post! Might be worth a check of the linkage mechanism.

I’ll give the linkages a check over. Sounds like another thing to get used to. Thanks for the help.
