Got a slight coolant leak from around the water pump area on my 2003 3.0 v6 petrol. Its minimal, but you can see the pink stuff when you look close enough. Is this more likely to be a worn gasket/poor seal or a knackered pump? Is there any way of telling what the cause is?

Really dont want to have to strip the front of the car off to get the cambelt and water pump changed if I can help it...

Either the water pump bearing/seal has gone or the o ring's leaking.
Better to deal with it now or you could have a head gasket kit to throw on top of the cost of a timing belt kit and water pump.

Thanks Calum
Was kinda hoping to limp her on for another 6 months without spending anything on her, shes got dents on most panels over the years, roof doesnt work etc and was just hoping to get as long as possible out of her without spending £750 on a cambelt and water pump change :(

Also, anyone got any idea how long our car should take to get up to temperature? Took 5 minutes of normal driving today, from cold, does this sound right? Trying to work out if she's warming up quicker than normal, which could point towards the water pump im guessing?
