Need Help Please

Ok here we go....... first thing 1st gear fine, 2nd gear fine BUT 3rd gear runs fine then at 4.5k revs thats it no more power it picks up like a 1L fiesta!!!!!! 4Th gear the same at high revs. no idle problems no judder nothing!!!!!! bearing in mind ive had a new ecu chip fitted from germany ebay. Does anyone think it worth me getting the PROPER remap for my car does anyone think a basic remapped chip should work aswell as a company doing it. onest opinon here.


2nd minor but annoying i have full climate control with a mind of its own. what i mean is for example a set it at 23c the fan blower setting i set to 2 or 3 bar.... a minute later i accelerate and the blower goes up by 6 bars then a few seconds later it will drop to a different setting. it got a mind of its own!!!!!!!!! any ideas??????

And finally how do i change my dash rev counter etc from the awful red colur to either white upto the red line or all to blue..................OR what id really like is to replace dials to white which ive made my own custom dials before but my audi got all lots of warning lights etc in middle of rev counter etc. or can i just buy a proper white dial kit?? sorry to ask to much but how can i change the colour of my rev needle i want it blue then when high revs change to red??

sounds like maybe a dodgy earth on the engine as too many things are affected for it to be one fault on the dash IMO

I have no idea what engine you have, so that i can understand a bit what might happen there. Try to give more details. You might have an over boost problem. I think it may be related to the chip if it's not turbo related.

I noted in another thread that you only see boost up to 8psi so either youre map is wrong for your car or it was installed incorectly or you have another issue all together.

Gears could be the clutch slipping.

AC is an automated system and it will adjust the blower to correct the temputre in to the car.

Oil Temp could be a bad sensor.

Dash lights can be done but one needs to know what year car you have first.

Have you still got the original chip/s?

It may be worth plugging it back in to see if it solves the power problem.

and i have the original chip so i could but the orginal back in and see what psi im getting with the stock set up. and in relation to previous psi readings i confirm it is just peaking at 8psi ive got the same gauge as you doculery

ok heres the result standard chip gives me about 5.5-6psi and feels alot slower the remapped chip about 7-8psi so basically it a poo remapped chip isint it?? i need a proper remap to get proper power. basically ive bought a super chip not a proper remap
