HI,

Got this on the car. Steering wheel offsets by 1/4 turn.

Very helpful garage did the following:

Full realignment set up conducted;
Reset basic settings (seems to be the common approach to a fix);
Fault reappeared as soon as i reversed into the drive (6 miles);
Car returned to the garage;
fault codes - 3110 and 00778
Garage followed 'book' process to reset the Basic settings;
Codes reset;
took it for a drive - no problems;
Parked up and restarted - fault reappears! - Frustrated;
Garage now scratching head - as was I.
Next option is to perhaps replace Steering angle sensor and reset.
Currently driving the car until the fault reappears.................... before i bite the bullet.

Any good ideas or similar experiences that can be shared?

Is the wheel straight when driving now?

Crasher -

The wheel reset after cycling the ignition and is within the 1.5 degree tolerance following basic reset, but it has been before.

I remain concerned that the problem has not been fixed, do you know of any way that I can confirm a fix is truly in place?

Is it visually offset one way or the other when driving in a straight line?

TBH it is now as straight as it was before it went in for wheel realignment. i.e before the problem manifested itself.

In that instance, performing the basic settings with the angle showing as near as possible 0 should solve it.
