I have a 2007 2.0tdi 130 sport BKP with DSG. When the weather is warm outside (20 degs C), the car will jerk/buck as I pull off. It only does this at slow speeds until it’s been running for a few minutes. I’m presuming that it has something to do with a temp sensor somewhere, as it never does this at cooler outside temperatures. Has anyone had a similar problem, and can help me get this erratic behaviour fixed? Thank you

That could be clutch slip, how many miles has it done and when was the DSG oil and filter changed?

Current mileage is 146k. DSG was serviced 15k miles ago. I hope it’s nothing gearbox related!! When it happens the car kangaroos like when learning to drive a manual.

They tend to do this at around 200k but I have seen it earlier. A good test is pulling out of an uphill junction when still not warmed up and you get a kick kick kick as you accelerate which clears.

It tends to still do it when I pull off my drive on a warm evening and that has a slight decline. It’s one of those niggly things that you just get used to, but I’d like to see if I can pinpoint what causes it.

Difficult for me to say without experiencing it.

Would be good to plug VCDS in to look at the injection quantities. Might be fuel related but can hop if turbo vanes stiff before bad enough to trigger the familiar over / under boost faults. Mine still does this occasionally when warm and pulling away at traffic lights but clears shortly after.

Ok thanks guys. I don’t have VCDS but after reading up on the common faults for this car it sounds like a pretty handy thing to have. I struggle to understand the Haynes manual at finding sensors etc so I’m pretty clueless when it comes to fault finding!
