Hi all,
On Tuesday i went to use my car and the Vacuum Solenoid Block was screaming like a scalded cat and wouldn't let the turbo work.
So I parked it up, found the cause of the noise and replaced the block.
Now my problem is, the turbo just won't boost at all, no more noise, drive is smooth but the turbo spools but its as if its just letting the pressure out down the exhaust.
I have put on a new MAP sensor, new MAF sensor, and even a new accelerator pedal as I was advised that the potentiometer(i know the spelling is off ) could be dicky.
I have no fault codes showing, not even if I unplug the MAF and go for a drive!
I have checked all vac lines etc and they seem fine.
I have even tried a Vacuum Solenoid Block off of a friends BKD, incase it was the new part was fault but I get the same problem.

I found a diagram of the vacuum system, and where each of the 6 pipes go to from the block, all are correctly connected

Help would be massively appreciated
Thanks
Russell

The most puzzling part is the no codes no matter what, what are you reading them with?

Hi there,
I have read them with OBDeleven, and a launch x431.
Both show the same.
Cheers

Very odd, both will show non OBDII codes, has it been remapped?

It was remapped from new in 2008.
I have been testing today. Turbo spins, both sides of it are intact and no feel able damage .
Actuator doesn't seem to love regardless of whatever vac is on it, but it moves with the vac tester.
I have tried the new vac box, and one off of a friends BKD incase the new one was faulty.
I am wondering now if it's an electrical issue.
I shall unfortunately be taking it to vw Monday for diagnosis . I wanted to avoid this as they usually just blame everything regardless of what's been changed.
Vac box was genuine btw, map and MAF are both bosch. Even changed the tandem supply pipe because it was cracked but no dice, same problem.
Last resort apart from all this is either turbo damage that I can't see, maybe the vanes are damaged? But like I said it opens with vac test.
Vac pump is fine because the original vac box was putting it into overdrive and permanently vaccing everything.
Or its electrical, maybe a short somewhere that I can't see
