Hello was driving my 13 plate estate a couple of days ago and thought I heard a bit of a noise a bit like when a stone gets stuck in the disc brakes. Thought nothing of it and noise went away and been fine since.
Just now returned to car and lots of error lights stability control , steering wheel. ABS. Pressure monitor not available, parking symbol.
Will call local specialist in the morning but worried about this.
Any help welcomed

All modern cars a fault code reader is a must have .

Not having one obviously doesn’t help me right now and I’m never going to fix anything myself but what code reader would you recommend

Why is it that people find a dying battery so hard to grasp? When things that need voltage go **** up one wonders where do those volts come from?

Just had precisely that with my Yeti...but less the noise.

Power steering, traction control, ABS, tyre pressure and corner turning light all up on the panel.

Vehicle still under warranty (extended at POS) so in it went for assessment.

Diagnosed as, rear offside wheel sensor. They replaced it and its now fine.

I would think a stone or something has damaged one on your vehicle.

No need to be insulting about this. I came on the forum to ask advice not for the moderator of all people to call me stupid because of a battery issue. I am not mechanically minded and rather leave it to the experts but was worried how bad it was and whether the car was still safe to drive. Been to local specialist today who says rear wheel ABS sensor but also overall ABS module showing an error that wouldn't go away. He was going to do some research before getting the car booked in. So not a battery issue anyway.

It's good to know that you (they) have found the issue and that I was close.

I wasn't being insulting. Anyway, the issue with the rear wheel senders on the Passat 3C is the same as on the Golf. The black rubberised magnetic ring bonded to the back of the wheel bearing rusts and starts to break up and can eat into the sensor

Glad you got sorted - I've had exactly the same and it was the left rear sensor. 14 quid fix.
