Morning all.

So over the last few months I've started getting a small clunk through the steering wheel when turning at slow speeds and occasionally when hitting uneven road surfaces or speed bumps.

I've had each front corner up on the jack but cant feel any play in the track rod ends. The CV boots are intact too.

Any other thoughts on common issues that might be worth looking at before I take it to my local independent?

The car is a front wheel drive A4 Avant Tdi143 63 plate with 104k.

Cheers
Jon

Could be anything, but my money is on drop links. At 104k miles it could be one of the top arms too. Let us know how you get on.

This is the subject of a TPI notice which I can’t post from home and is often the wheel bearing unit shifting around in its housing, we have had a few in now where one of the screw heads has sheared off.
