Having recently purchased this Audi A6 Allroad, I'm trying to do things "properly", especially with regard to servicing / Satnav updates / notifications etc etc ... so I go to join "My Audi" as all the paperwork tells me that is the "best" point of contact .....
But I can't, all attempts to "join" get the answer "your details are wrong" even though the car is shown corectly ... so send an email to "Customer Services" as the screen says .... and get this back ....
"Having checked our records, you are currently not showing as the registered keeper of the vehicle on our systems. This is the reason why you are unable to log into yourAudi.
To ensure our systems are updated, please take your V5 and two forms of identification, such as your driving licence or passport, to the service desk at your local Audi Centre. They will then be able to amend our records. Although I appreciate you will have sent the V5 to the DVLA, they do not pass this information to the manufacturer.
You can find a list of all the Audi Centres in the UK at: Locate a Centre (https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/locate-a-centre.html).
Once we have received this information, we can then update the records and you will gain access to yourAudi. Please allow 10 working days for all our systems to update."
So, I have to physically attend a "service centre", nearest is 12 miles away, with three lots of paperwork, and it will then take 10 days ...... and, by the way, they don't even know the law .... "I appreciate you will have sent the V5 to the DVLA" ... the SELLER sends the V5 to DVLA, NOT the purchaser.
Thanks Audi for really being helpful...... not.
With the problems with Swindon Audi and the towbar electrics I'm begining to wonder what I've got myself into ...... :(
