Retrofit of GPS (Tech pack) to A6 c7

Hi,

I have just purchased an A6 C7 (2016). It does not have the Technology pack installed so I have the basic popup screen and GPS system. Is it possible to have the better quality screen fitted and upgrade the GPS system without the other features of the Technology Pack?

I have had the basic MMI in my last A6 C7 and now have the Tech Pack in my facelift C7. There is very little difference, and not really worth the cost. You will have to change at least the touchpad with gear selector surround, the screen, the dashboard binnacle and also the radio unit itself. Probably looking at over £1000 just in parts there before component protection removal at £80 per item by Audi and then the programming of the car. Not worth it in my eyes.

Btw the satnav/gps in both is exactly the same apart from live traffic in tech pack if you have it connected to the internet.

Thanks for the info, I will take your advice and not bother, will just stick with my Garmin GPS.

One other thing you might be able to help with: Is it possible to retrofit the Adaptive Cruise Control system, that would be very useful to me?
