Not noticed this before, but Q7 parked near me with the 22” wheels and noticed the front arches have additional trim poking out the top 1/3 of the arch and rear has a 10” piece at the rear.

Is this new on factory fitted cars? Wondering if the wider wheels were sand blasting the paint?

Yes and yes. I believe it’s to avoid damage to the paint. I remember someone on here having the Audi part number for them. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190302/73fda87ab9441d1f8a3814a6e9bd2b90.jpg

Yes, this is installed from 2017 model by the factory in the cars with 22" wheels. I think that it is not only the paint protection but also required by law in some markets because of wider rims protruding from car fenders. Audi part numbers are: 4M0 854 969/970 front and 4M0 854 989/990 rear.

Yes they do come with extra trim, 4 pieces of plastic trim which Audi will relieve you of just over £100 pound!
