tempac

Hi folks, I have an interesting situation with one of my rad cooling fans. The car sounds like a jet engine, soon as I unlock the car with my fob, after about 5 seconds the right hand side fan (looking into the engine from the front) revs up to full power, again this is before I’ve even started it.
It stays on for the duration of whatever journey I’m doing (50 mile commute to work), and then stops about 20 seconds after I turn the car off and lock it.
All temps are fine and there are no dash warnings.
A mate has some generic odb software and the attached screenshot is the only code that was of any interest.
A Google of that points to relay, temp sensors, fan controllers, loom issues.
Off the top of my head I think I will eliminate (for the moment at least) wiring issue, I think I will also eliminate relay issue as it seems people who have had relay issue tend to have the fan on all the time, having to take the fuse out to stop it draining battery, I will also eliminate the temp sensor as the temp gauge on the dash is behaving as normal - do all these seem reasonable?
Question is, would VCDS be more specific in identifying the issue?
At the moment I'm sourcing a fan assembly/fan controller - but it's a bit of a pain the fact that it will be a bumper off job, just to try it!
Thanks!
