Morning all,

I have been trying to find what torque the injector bolt is tightened too on the CRTE engine. Google is not being helpful and I'm struggling to find any information. From what I've found up to now is tighten to 7nm then 270degrees, or 8nm and 180degrees, others say 14nm, and some suggest 20nm. So does anyone know what the tech spec or workshop manual state it should be?

Thanks in advance

Before writing this post I had written a PM to the oracle but decided to ask on the open forum before hitting the send button.

First things first, new bolt? Second, which year and engine type code?

Yes it will a new bolt, they are only £2 from dealers. Car was manufactured November 2014, Registered January 2015, first of the facelift cars. Its the 3.0Tdi 218bhp engine CRTE.
Cheers Crasher.

6Nm+90°. Interestingly it also points out the injectors AND clamping pieces MUST be numbered to their corresponding cylinders with a paint marker and even if moved to a different cylinder (ONLY for testing purposes, NOT permanently) they MUST be kept matched. BUT you can re-use the clamping piece with new injectors.

Thank you Crasher, I had read about the clamps are matched to the injectors.

Thanks again

I would say it is more like the injectors match themselves to the clamp, I wonder how someone worked that one out, I can't see it being a design intention....
