My GPS is telling me I’m 80 miles away from where I am and has been for a few days. I’ve had the occasional hiccup before but only by a few hundred yards which has quickly resolved itself. I’ve got a roof box on but it didn’t start playing up until long after it was fitted. Anyone had this.
Is there a reset.
Thanks.

Sorry I do not have the 310 but the 510.

It has a Factory settings function which as it says, returns ALL settings to factory.....doohhhhh.

The 310 may have a similar option but beware, ALL your entered data, destinations and settings will be erased.

Thanks UMEL. I haven’t found a reset. Was thinking about disconnecting the battery.

That was going to be my first suggestion.

A little update. My GPS seems to have after a week found itself. Thanks for the suggestions bit it seems to have cured itself.

Snow

I'm in the Alps!
That's very likely to be spot on.

Ok it’s lost again and I’m giving up. I’ve looked for a new antenna and they seem to be cheap on amazon/eBay. It would seem that all I need to do is remove the rns315 unit, plug in a new antenna and find a metal surface to stick it on. Seems too easy, has anyone done this?
Advice.

Posting this to help anyone who has the same problem and finds there way here.
I bought an after market gps antenna on amazon for £7, plus some bones for removing the trim for £4. Once the trim is removed, 4 t20 screws hold in the unit, slid it out swapped the leads over, and popped the antenna under the dash. All working fine now. 10 minutes. Below is a link to YouTube of some one removing the head.
