Does anyone know which side of the car on a UK spec A4 B8 the rear PDC speaker (Buzzer) is located before I go dismantling all of the trim to replace it pls. I've had a little search but didn't come up with an answer.

OK guys, so I guess that of the 232 people that viewed this thread since posting, no one knows the answer?;)

Mine is on the nearside. My son complains about it every time it goes off

It depends on whether it's a saloon or estate. The saloon is on the back parcel shelf, under the cover, I know the saloon is a fixed shelf but if you remove the trim for this you can see the speaker sitting just slightly offset from the central shelf near the seats.

Might be stating the obvious but on my MMI system I can change the volume of the PDC speaker. If you have this facility it might be worth checking the volume has not been turned off before dismantling. Just a thought....

Thanks guys, took it to an Indy in the end as time was against me. Charged me about £50 odd quid for the VCDS check then another £150 for the part, stripping and fitting. Thought this was a bit expensive. He said it was located on drivers side in an awkward spot near the seat belt and took off a fair bit of trim. All very vague i'm afraid !

Yeah. It's where he said it was and indeed is a bugger to get at.
I had to get mine replaced.
£10 for part on ebay and got indy to do it when in for a service who is a mate
He charged me an extra £10 to fit.
Unfortunately you were at the mercy of a robbin b4stard.
God forbid you need a turbo or a clutch doing from them.
i'd change indy if i where you
