Hello,
My 66 Passat estate has just had it's windscreen changed and with that i changed the wipers, now the wiper catches on the side trim ('A' post) of the windscreen (they wipe to far). How do you adjust the swept arc? I took it in to the main dealership when i first got the vehicle as it was doing this back then, it took less than 5 mins, shame i never seen what he done? Now outside of warranty, don't fancy pulling the arm off and rotating slightly!
Thanks in advance for any help
Chris

Hi Jim,
Ive done over 60k miles now so i thought it would be outside of warranty!

Ah okay, you are high mileage, in that case my simple answer is of no use to you!

Hi Chris,
My 16 Passat estate has had exactly the same problem from new. Mentioned it to the dealer when I had my first service and they have made it worse. Not the sort of thing you would expect from German engineering.

ChrisRaise the bonnet, take the cap off whichever wiper you need to adjust, undo the nut and you will see the wiper is on a spline, lift and reposition a a couple of splines lower and obviously replace the nut and cap
