Cam belt tensioner Linten or hydraulic

Hi, my cam belt is being done this week, it seems that Audi are moving away from the hydraulic dampers and are using a pulley with a built in spring to do the tension on the belt, I believe it's called linten system. Are the hydraulic dampers that bad???? If I bought from TPS would they give me the new linten one.

I thought it was 2017, I bought a genuine kit for my B6 Quattro 5 yrs ago and that came with a hydraulic tensioner / damper. No mention of the linten one.

In the manual ELSA Win they refer to it as a friction tensioner,
