An interesting thing have developed on my 2017 S6.

When using the windscreen wipers, the drivers side (so could be motor or arm) makes a ”clack” sound going as well as when the wiper comes back. Dealer is bluffed and have no idea. Booked in on Monday next week to investigate, although they think its the motor. Must have it checked as I have approx 2k driving ahead of me in November....

Anyone else had this?

Other than this, absolutely no problems and love this car. Seen the new A6 today (estate and saloon) and while I think they look great, I am not so sure about the inside with all the touch screens etc. time will tell in approx 18 months what I want...petrols of the new one will finally go on sale in November due to new rules.

Old hard wiper blades do this. Try a new blade before paying Audi a load of money to diagnose a consumable part problem.

The wiper blades are changed as part of the service agreement in place (so exchanged a few months ago). Car is also under warranty so I’ll leave it to Audi to sort out.

Sorry, no idea on the wiper. But I did view a new A6 and A7 the other day when my A7 was in for a service. I also sat in a Q8. I think the touch screens are inevitable and in a few years we'll be looking at dials and needles and think 'how old fashioned'. However, at the moment I'm really not keen. The interiors look drab until powered up and even though brand new, all 3 cars looked a mess with all the finger marks. I consider myself a pretty decent home detailer and that would drive me mad; I'd be wiping them all the time and probably wear the coating in no time. The dealer told me that Audi had resisted the touch screens, but even they have relented with the inevitable tech. Must save them a bomb too, but it doesn't drop the car prices funnily enough. Now they really need to sort out the back end tech (yeah 'MyAudi' app and website I'm talking about you).

Your are so right. Its the future and all manufacturers are doing it, slowly. Cant deny that I really like the look of the new models. My dealer told me that the new A1, A3 and updated Q7 will all be the same. Of course! What else can we expect.

Wife is about to order her new XC60 and its the same with that and the rest of the models from Volvo.

I had a look at the new A6 myself last week whilst my dealer got me the incorrect oil filter for my car (!)
Like others on here I find myself completely underwhelmed by the new model, to the point where I doubt the next car will be an Audi (BMW, VOLVO perhaps). I'm with you guys on the touchscreens, it annoys me enough when the piano black inside my car gets fingerprints on it, what I'd be like with screens full of fingerprints God only knows.

Yup, totally underwhelmed, its all a bit me too now. Any manufacturer who has to supply a cloth to clean the screens with is more concerned with form over function. I simply won't be bothering.

IMHO the touch screen is nothing else but a cheap solution to minimise the costs of the interior design elements. To use it in a premium or luxury car is a dead end this way, because these were not designed as Tesla did in the Model X. The funny thing is, that a touch screen can be good in a low quality car, as there are only a few options exists which can be selected easily with the huge screen area buttons.

In my humble opinion, these solutions shuld be terminated as soon as possible, because if I can't use a mobile phone during driving because it can cause accidents, then these systems should be prohibited forever as they are surely can cause accidents. Anyway, I can't understand the reason why they drop the central console for the MMI... OK, let there be touch screens, but why can't be there a touchpad, or the MMI buttons even for an extra money?

The only good thing with these, that I like my car better day by day :)
