Different locks for rear seats ?

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 2003 A4 Avant with only one key. When I tried to lock the rear fold down seats the key won't work in the locks. Does anyone know if the rear locks use a different key other than the one to start the car ?

Door lock, boot lock, ignition barrel & seat locks should all be the same. Sounds like someone has changed something in the cars lifetime. Does it have a leather interior? If it does, did it have this from the factory? An interior swap for leather is fairly common.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. No it has cloth seats so it looks as though someone has changed the barrels as the ignition key won't even go all the way into the barrel up to the keys shoulder. Fortunately the rear seats are in the unlocked position so it's not a big problem.
