Glow Plug Light - ENGINE FAULT .. Temperamental ??

Hi im just wondering if i can get some advice please?? Im new here so hey! :aargh4:
VW PASSAT 2.0TDI 140 SE (08) since owning the car.. it runs brilliant. turbo does sound very loud almost like i can hear a not so turbo sound but a loud blow off? ... but every time i go around 50+MPH and actually put my foot down a little to overtake for example i keep getting a glow plug light + Engine fault - Garage on the dash?? The light annoys me so I park up .. reset the car it sometimes starts instantly sometimes I have to wait a minute or so.. I have took it to a garage and he said there was a blockage in the exhaust and fixed it i do doubt this.. but on checking a diagnostics it appears to have a boost leak he said earlier before diagnosing the exhaust?? could this cause this ?? thank you.. only happens when i put my foot down

Sounds very much like you have a leak in the intake pipework between the turbo & inlet manifold.

You need to check the pipework carefully as it will only show up when under boost from the turbo.

Could be a loose joint, split in a rubber pipe or hole in the intercooler.

There will probably be an egress of oil mist from the leak so look for tell-tale signs.

Yeah it sounds very unusual.. ive had a Vectra 1.9cdti so i can imagine the sound should be similar from the turbo.. this car sounds very loud with the turbo..

Pepsi was probably a bad example but you catch my drift.. its very loud like i can hear ALOT of air.
