Water pump leak

I have a 1.8 2011 b8 engine CDHA
has anyone had problems with the water pump leaking and what needs to be changed.

Do I change the whole unit with thermostat or just the pump I’ve been looking around but I can only find the pump on it’s own
I’m looking for advice and cost for replacement.

Its most likely the coolant module the water pump rarely leaks, however, I suggest you replace the full unit and check the electrical connector due to coolant leaking down the wiring loom.

You will also need the little pipe that sits in the block which can be a most irritating bugger to refit, in addition, you will require vcds or similar to basic the module and the throttle body due to removing and vent the cooling system.
