Clicking sound from engine bay

Hi
Recently i have noticed on my 2011 vw passat 2.0 tdi everytime I switch the engine off 3-4 clicking sounds from the engine bay. My mates got a golf 2010 and his car does the same everytime you switch the off. What could it be and should i be worried?
