Trip Mileage problem on 97 1.8T Avant

Hi All ,

I have a problem on my trip mileage as it shows " def " and cannot be adjusted back to zero ...... use vag com but no fault codes are found . have anyone encountered this problem before ?

Or can i just buy a second hand dashboard to replace it ?

That does mean a new/used dash, "def" means an internal memory failure. Try BBA reman for a repair http://www.bba-reman.com/

i mean models in different years, are their dash board inter-changable ?
