I'm considering buying HID headlights for my Golf GT TDi.

Can anyone offer any recommendations? Who offers the best kit and how easy are they to fit? How reliable are they? How much do they cost and how much better is nightvision with the HID lights installed? Any do's and don'ts?

thanks

Hi mate, are you sure you want HID bulbs, or maybe just some decent brighter ones.

Have a look here:

I would try fitting the bulbs 1st, if they are not as gd (bright) as u r expecting then at least u havent wasted a lot of money, unlike if u buy the HID headlights .

let me no how the bulbs go coz iam thinking about buying some also or if u did go 4 the HID headlights .
cheers.

I've tried so called brighter bulbs on my old car and the difference was negligible. So I really wanted to go with HID units straight away.
Does anyone have any first hand experience of using brighter bulbs - are they significantly better than the standard bulbs?
