Steering Lock Repair Price - Are VW honouring it?

I know there are many threads regarding the infamous Steering Lock issue but did anyone ever manage to get the £350 deal from VW? Ive read alsorts of contradictory threads so far about some dealers honouring the deal and some not having heard about it.

Also does anyone know an independent specialist who might be able to carry out the work in the North East of England?

£350 deal? From what I know vw will charge much more as they charge for the whole rack/immobiliser and coding. The price will depend on what type of steering issue you have. What is your specific issue? Scan code? Which town are you from?

VW in the UK were offering to replace the ESCL at a fixed price of £350. I know a few people from FAcebook who managed to get the deal but there seems to be a good few where the Dealers have denied such a deal exists.
