Hi, i really need help, have a mk 4 golf 2.0 gti.ever since i have had the car the central locking doesnt seem to work.the windows dont work.the only time they work is when the battery gets disconnected n reconnected again and that only fixes the problem for around a week.my passenger side never works, the windows never open and the door never opens via central locking. my key fob doesnt work at all either.wat should i do to fix the problem, as my alarm does not work either unless i disconnect the battery and reconnect it.

Sounds as if you have problem with the elctrics feeding the whole C/L system it's self.

Best option is to get a Fault Code scan done via VAG COM at a garage. That'll bring up a list of errors and whats wrong with it.

It's worthing checking the main fuses too!

In that case I'd take it to a garage ask them to do a fault code scan on the vehicle. Let us know the results.

apparently theres no connection between any of the four windows when u go to check, if that info not good enough for you then i will go back 2moro and tell him to do another check on it. my car is a 99...v plate!
