Probably it will be strange question but I have to ask.
Can faulty Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor mean there is more noise from the car? :)

Recently I bought a fault scanner and although car doesn't show any warnings, nor lights are lit, but scanner finds one fault:
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 (sorry cant remember fault code, probably p054400). Didn't think much about it as car drives as its always did.
But recently wife drove past me and I noticed that car makes more noise that usually, was thinking maybe its damaged exhaust, but then I remembered that fault.
When idling there isn't much more noise, but when driving a bit faster I do notice it noisier. Cant hear it with windows up so its not as noisy as a loose exhaust or a hole in it.
Can they be connected? More noise due to faulty sensor?
Can it be as simple as sensor loosened (if thats the word)? Recently I did drive for quite a bit on a very very rough road
From what google showed me its closes to the turbo sensor.
Thank you for all your help.
