finding a new replacement remote key fob

Hi all,

i need to buy a replace key and the code on the current key is:

HLO 1JO 959 753 N 433Mhz

i can only find HLO 1JO 959 753 N 434Mhz on ebay, its seems that the frequency 433Mhz stopped at 2000 model golfs.

i have also read that HLO 1JO 959 753 AG will work with 2000 +?

or will 'A' work? @ 433Mhz?

the current key is 100% 433Mhz and its for a 2001 1.8T golf gti .

can anyone confirm this? :confused:

is this true?

modern keys send a digital signal on a standard frequency the standard frequ
ency is 433.92MHZ sometimes this is stated as 433 and sometimes 434 it is the same frequency.
