Passat B6 central locking issue

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the issue of not being able to unlock their Passat from the inside using the central locking button on the drivers door.

It locks fine but won’t unlock, however it locks and unlocks fine with the key fob.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the old dodge of disconnecting the battery leads (neg. first of course) and touching them together a couple of times? This has the effect of rebooting the computer. Sometimes works, you'll get a couple of warning lights afterwards which will go after driving a short distance. Apologies if I'm telling you something you already know.
