Good evening.

I'm still rocking my 2007 Passat b6 (the amazing BKP variant) which has given me many troubled miles...

Half the engine has being replaced along with brake calipers yet the dam thing likes to shake in idle. I've noticed that with the ac on the shaking stops. I hear that a fix is to increase the idle revs a little but each time I use OBD Eleven and attempt to change it I get

Function cancelled, marginal conditions not met

I've read that it may have something to do with it not working on PD variants.

Any ideas guys?

Thank you

IF the timing is spot on and IF it has the revised injectors fitted, there was a software update to deal with this so can you find out what your software revision number is?

Hi all.

There are no codes related to the engine running. In regards to the software I will have a look first thing in the morning.

It was last in a vw dealer back in 2014 for its cam belt. Before this point it was regular in due to it being a fleet car. So I can imagine it's on the latest version?

Since then it's being to vw specialists.

Is it possible to change the idle revs using vcds or obd eleven?

Thanks again

Some software versions allow the idle speed to be increased by loging in and then in adaptations.

Yeah I've tried to but all I get when i attempt to make a change is

Function cancelled, marginal conditions not met.

Ive tried to do this with the engine at temp and with the engine on and off. No dice

It's the pro version. Tried it again today and it came up with the same error.
