Rattling Noise From Dash

VW Touran 2.0 TDI DSG Sports 2005

The issue I am having is that there's a rattling noise coming from the dash and it's beginning to drive me mad.

You don't hear the rattle when the car is idling only when being driven it seems to rattle only when I am accelerating so on the motorway at a constant speed I do not hear it.

I have spent quite a bit having various people try to resolve the issue and they have taken the radio/satnav out and refitted and I still have the same issue.

I am trying to avoid taking it to the main dealer because i know it is going to cost quite a bit with no guarantee that they will fix the isuue.

Has anybody else had a similar issue?

Any suggestions?

Are you sure it's the dash? I spent ages trying to find a rattle in the dash and it turned out to be a CD case in one of the roof console bins.
