My rear pads need replacing on my mk5 Golf. Ive changed one side but on the other side the rear brake caliper wont wind back. It is not moving at all. The piston will not turn using my piston push back tool or pipe nosed pliers. Where is best to get a replacement caliper?

Thanks,

Adam

Very common, mostly the right hand side for some odd reason, I have no idea why we sell them 5:1 right over left. We insist on only fitting genuine brand new TRW units as these calipers do not recondition well, in fact VW specifically state these ally calipers should not be rebuilt. Euro Car Parts often stock genuine TRW units and other motor factors can also get TRW but it may take a few days. Holding out for and insisting on genuine TRW in a red TRW box is worth the effort but beware even then if the TRW number has an E at the end as these are exchange units and the part in the box MAY not be brand new.
