Can anyone help to check what gearbox i have and what oil goes ? Many thanks

ZF lifeguard 6 fluid... Although some places now sell a cheaper equivalent.

When I did mine, I think I used about 10 litres incl flushing the torque converter

You have a ZF6hp19a box. Plenty of info on here.

I'd say it's a bit of a pain, but you basically do the oil drain, then change the filter etc...

Refit, refill with engine off, then disconnect the supply hose to the rad, and point in a bucket, then fire up the engine, the atf pump will then push the slug of remaining oil into the bucket, as soon as the flow subsides shut off, refill again, then you go through the normal process of topping up till you get to iirc 40dec c...

Works like a charm...remember the atf pump is fast, so that pumps the oil into a bucket in 30 secs....

Done the same on all audis I've had, and my phaeton... Never an issue, even my mates 535d has the same box still going strong.. Just wish I had a proper 2 post ramp !
