Bonnet catch

Bonnet won't open on a6 c6 2.7tdi. How can I get it open. Please help.

generally did you try a second person push down on the bonnet as you try the release?
not sure on anything specific for the A6

Yeh tried pushing down on bonnet. Cable ended up breaking or coming detached from catch !! Dooohh !!
